Year 9 Piano Soiree

Lockdowns and restrictions on event capacity have presented a huge challenge to some of Mac.Rob’s programs, such as Instrumental Music, which aims to not only provide students with the technical skills to master their chosen instrument, but the confidence to perform for a supportive audience of peers, teachers, and family. Luckily, we’ve been able to find creative ways of ensuring students can still their progress with families, such as holding our Year 9 Piano Soiree “remotely” and safely via a pre-filmed video performance!

Thanks to all the dedication and effort of our young pianists, the Piano Soirée was a wonderful success! All the student performances were outstanding, and they performed with impressive stage presence. It is not an easy task to be on stage, and the confidence that these students are developing is incredibly valuable. The Soirée was not only a celebration of student development, but also their willingness to share their music with others. Great work, Year 9s!
