Mac.Rob Foundation Bursaries
Throughout the year, The Mac.Rob Foundation welcomes applications from Mac.Robbians for scholarships and bursaries that support students through their education. Two exciting bursaries open at the end of October: The Helen Turner Bursary ($1500 for students in financial need), and the STEM Bursary ($800 to undertake a STEM experience, program, camp or study beyond the scope of the regular school program).
All current Mac.Rob students in Years 9-11 are encouraged to apply.
The Helen Turner Bursary | $1500
Open 31 October 2022 | Close 24 November 2022
This Bursary is in memory of former student Helen Roberta Turner (nee Bates) with the intent of assisting eligible students whose families are in genuine financial need. This Bursary is awarded to enable a student to have a full secondary school experience. Examples include voluntary contributions and to enable students to purchase books, resources, uniform, that may have been financially prohibitive to them.
The STEM Bursary | $800
Open 31 October 2022 | Close 24 November 2022
This STEM bursary is designed to recognise and support a student undertaking study in an area of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to the study of one or more STEM areas and be able to show evidence of financial hardship that might preclude or limit them from engaging in STEM education.
This bursary aims to support the recipient to undertake an experience, program, camp or study beyond the scope of their regular school program, to help them extend their current skills and knowledge within one or more of the STEM fields.
