Intermediate Softball Team | Term 1
On February 16th, Mac.Rob’s intermediate softball team competed against Cheltenham Secondary College for their first game in 2023.
After a rousing pep talk from their coach, the girls stepped into the field with a spring in their step, donning their impressive new uniforms and determined to give it their all. It soon became evident that their intense training sessions were not in vain. The team swiftly ended the first half-inning by getting three Cheltenham students out, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Despite the heat, everyone batted and fielded their hearts out, communicating effectively and cheering each other on. Before they knew it, the exhilarating match had ended and the intermediate softball team had won with a score of 12-0! The girls exhibited excellent sportsmanship, cheering for the other team and umpire and making sure to shake hands with Cheltenham before leaving.
Overall, we are immensely proud of our performance and learned a great deal from this experience. Special thanks to Mr. Hendricks, our incredible coach, who made sure to be with us every step of the way. Hopefully, we can keep up the awesome work in Regionals (which will be in May). Go Mac.Rob!
