Interact Club | Term 1 Update

Interact club has officially begun this year!! We are a long-standing philanthropic club within Mac.Rob’s community, and our vision this year is to: create positive change while spreading love and happiness within and beyond the community.

Every Wednesday lunchtime, our club members participate in small, creative and engaging hands-on activities in a safe and friendly environment. The products that we make throughout this year will be either donated or sold - with profits donated towards non-profit organisations.

So far this year, Interact has already held three in-person club meetings! Our in-person club members are creating bundles of mini roses, which we will have at our Interact Fete at the end of this year. These mini rose bouquets will come with a scroll for students to spread a positive message to their friends - perfectly in line with our vision for this year!

On the other hand, our online Interact club members are making bookmarks either by hand or digitally. We plan on sending these carefully crafted bookmarks to primary school children at Noble Park English Language School - a school that assists students and their families in their transition to a new country.

Over the past week we have also successfully completed our Interact Stationery Drive, with the help of our Mac.Rob community. We received a large amount of donations from students, and have already packed these bags of stationery to send off to school children in Timor Leste. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us in making this initiative a success!

We’ve had a wonderful start to Interact so far, and are super excited to share what we have planned for the rest of the year with the school community :)
