Cross Country Regionals

Friday, June 22nd, a group of running legends made their way to Cruden Farm in Langwarrin to compete in the Southern Metropolitan Cross Country Regionals Competition. It was an extremely fun and successful day with a talented MacRob student qualifying for States very soon!

Throughout the day everyone did extremely well and our school spirit was evident as we cheered on and congratulated every runner. The course itself was muddy and covered with hills adding an extra challenge for us all to overcome.

While running may not sound that fun to everyone, our Mac.Robbians really showed that if you put in the hard work and effort you can achieve amazing things! Everyone should be immensely proud of their individual successes; whether that be running a crazy 3km, beating a personal best, or even making it to regionals! It was a terrific day to be a part of and so a big cheers to all those who took part: Mimi G, Ellawen G, Ellen H, Ivy H, Nuhansa K, Sherry L, Charlotte McV, Emma N, Thea P, Tanasha S, and Trinity Taylor.

A massive congratulations to Tanasha who came 2nd in the Girls’ 17-20 race and who will go on to take part in the State competition! Also a great job to the other 17-20 Mac.Rob students, Mimi and Ellawen who, together with Tanasha, came 2nd as a Mac.Rob team! Overall a wonderfully successful day.

And don’t forget, Run Club is on every Friday morning at 7:20am for any new and aspiring runners as well as anyone who feels motivated to come down! Any skill level is encouraged and feel free to bring your friends too.
