The Grand Affair: The Palladian’s High Tea at Grand Hyatt

On Sunday, November 12, the Grand Hyatt played host to a splendid gathering of Palladian’s at the highly anticipated Palladian’s High Tea. The event was not just an indulgence in culinary delights but also a celebration of achievements and a reunion of familiar faces.

Representing our school with pride, four Palladian student representatives, 10 senior students and a member of staff attended. Making the day even more special, the students graced the occasion by singing the school song. The Grand Hyatt provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon filled with elegance, laughter, and shared memories.

The highlight of the day was hearing from four distinguished alumni, each sharing their unique journey in the sporting world. Seen Lee, Amanda Jenkins, Jacqui Weatherill, and Jan Fitzgerald captivated the audience with their stories, inspiring current students to pursue their passions with dedication and resilience.

In addition to the alumni spotlight, the event also served as an opportunity to recognize and honour Palladian’s who have made significant contributions to the Palladian’s Association. Marg Burrowes, Judy Hocking, Karin Taeubner, and Susan Gilbert were celebrated for their outstanding efforts, underscoring the sense of community and achievement that defines the Palladian’s.

The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie as attendees reconnected with fellow alumni. The joy of shared experiences and the pride in being a part of the Palladian’s community were palpable.

Of course, the indulgence didn't stop at the inspiring stories and accolades. The High Tea itself was a feast for the senses, featuring an array of scrumptious treats that delighted the taste buds. From delicate finger sandwiches to decadent pastries, the culinary offerings were a fitting accompaniment to the day's festivities.

In conclusion, the Palladian’s High Tea at the Grand Hyatt was nothing short of a grand affair. It was a wonderful blend of inspiration, recognition, and, of course, delectable delights. As we continue to forge connections and celebrate the achievements of our community, events like these serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Palladian’s.
