Model United Nations Assembly

At the Model United Nations Assembly, held on May 20th - 21st at the Mercure Hotel, three teams representing Mac.Rob actively participated. The sponsorship for these teams was provided by our partnering club, Port Phillip Rotary. This colourful event which has become such a significant Rotary Youth and International program around the world.

The teams and their respective countries were:

  • Team 1: Italy, represented by Nusayeeba Z and Grace L

  • Team 2: Mexico, represented by Tanveerjaha R and Chloe Y

  • Team 3: Thailand, represented by Mollynda B and Shakkthy T

The event was truly fantastic, and the students exhibited great enthusiasm in presenting their countries' perspectives. The room was filled with lively discussions, creating a wonderful ambiance. This assembly serves as an excellent platform for broadening perspectives and providing a safe environment to practice and enhance valuable skills.

The event itself was nothing short of spectacular, and the students thoroughly enjoyed their participation. The representatives from Thailand made an impressive display by wearing orange robes and stockings over their heads to portray baldness, embodying the spirit of true monks advocating peace whenever possible.

The Mac.Rob teams actively engaged in debates on six different resolutions, including one that they proposed. The quality of their arguments and the level of debate were commendable. Congratulations on a job well done!
